When do we need to decide what we want for our wedding day?

You can be in constant communication with your Wedding Coordinator at Rylands, and we find that the more organised you are, the more enjoyable planning your wedding is. It is helpful to know your rough numbers (subject to your RSVPs) at the point of booking and paying your deposit, at which point your contract will be generated to secure your event. Also, choosing a caterer is a priority so you can decide on food costs and do a tasting. Three months before, we will confirm everything re timings, alcohol, speeches, etc.

When can my wedding go on until?

The finish time would be 12.30am for a Saturday. This, however, does depend upon the day of the week and can be arranged with your Wedding Coordinator.

Can we get married at Rylands Farmhouse?

Yes! Both our Tipi & our conservatory are both licensed to be a wedding venue, so, depending on your numbers and preference, you can look at both as an option.

How do we choose a caterer?

Choosing a caterer can depend on budget, preference or religious beliefs. We can guide you with your assigned Wedding Coordinator, or you can contact them directly and arrange tastings. You will be shown menus and photos during your show around.

How many can stay on site at Rylands Farmhouse?

Rylands has 12 rooms, including two family rooms and a twin. We can accommodate a maximum of 30 guests staying with us overnight and also have two travel cots on site (as well as high chairs for during your reception should you require them). All rooms have a full sky TV package and Nespresso machines. They have heating and most rooms have A/C. Our rooms are accessed by key pad, which is given to you prior to your event.

Who helps us plan our wedding?

Rylands has an in-house events team with years of experience in events and weddings to help you plan your day. This can be used as much or as little as you want. We can meet you in person and/or on Zoom to ease the nerves and make sure no detail is left out.

Is there anything to do locally?

Yes, Cheshire is a wonderful area with so much to do. There is Quarry Bank Mill, which is a National Trust property. Rylands is also a short drive from the famous villages of Wilmslow, Hale and Alderley Edge, with numerous bars and restaurants. If you would like help with local activities, your Event Coordinator can assist you.

Is the Tipi heated?

Yes, our Tipi is heated for those chilly months, and we have also recently installed a heated canopy over our terrace to join the conservatory to the tipi. Furthermore, for the warmer months, the sides of the tipi roll up, enabling it to stay cool and pleasant for you and your guests.
