Read on to find out why Rylands Farmhouse is the perfect location to hold your event this summer, and we'll go through some of the different events our tipi has hosted during the last year to help you with ideas on how to turn your party dreams into reality...
The first appeal of Rylands Farmhouse is that our location is absolutely ideal. Our tipi, as well as our typical Cheshire boutique hotel, are very close to the M56 motorway, meaning any guests travelling a bit further than Stockport or Manchester can get to us super easily. Our neighbouring towns - Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and Hale - are all thriving and have lots of attractions to fill your days. If your guests are planning on making a weekend of it and want things to do either side of the party, we would recommend checking out the restaurant and bar scene in the three locations above. About ten minutes from Rylands Farmhouse is the beautiful National Trust site, The Edge. A stroll up here is the perfect way to dust of the cobwebs the morning after the party and can take in the beautiful views pictured below!
Our B&B, which is also located very near to Manchester airport, can sleep up to 29 guests. So, if you get organised with your planning, you can take all the hotel rooms as well as booking the tipi! You could even treat yourself to some after-party drinks in our private outdoor pods, which feature pontoon lights and all have heaters to keep you cosy!
If you're planning a children's party in Cheshire, you're in luck! We’ve hosted some serious 'Kardashian style' children's birthday parties over the last year, including ones featuring pastel bouncy castles, a visit from Spiderman and even had a unicorn on site! (we promise it was a real one...) When you book your event or party at Rylands, we give you the freedom to use the indoor and outdoor space to really make the most of our venue and the Cheshire countryside views.
A lot of our parties tend to have our bar fully open on the right-hand-side of the tipi, perhaps even with a few custom cocktails (why not?) and then use the left side of our tipi for the entertainers and dancing, as well as children's play areas to keep the little ones occupied!
As well as our tipi, we also have our conservatory event space which can be great for a smaller, more intimate, possibly sit-down dinner parties. The area can seat around 40 guests, depending on your layout. Our Rylands conservatory has hosted events from baby showers to intimate fine dining - if you wanted a luxury dinner party without having to host it at your home - as well as corporate meetings and dinners.
In terms of our tipi, the venue can host around 100 people sat down. One birthday party we hosted which had people flocking to Cheshire included fine dining and entertainment from The Jersey Boys, as well lots of flowers and candles to create a 'country garden' which had the perfect summer evening sunset backdrop. If you didn’t want a formal dining experience for your party, we are able to host up to 180 standing guests. Furthermore, as of Summer 2023, we will have a new outdoor covered terrace area complete with heaters and, if the weather permits, you can have the sides of the tipi open to create that perfect indoor/outdoor summer ambience.
